After the shape is selected, the appearance of the plush toy should be selected to check whether the head is round, plump, and moderately soft and hard. The nose should be roughly centered and not skewed. The positions of the ears and nose should be arranged symmetrically and should not be markedly high or low. The position of the mouth and tongue should be aligned with the position of the nose and must not be offset. The thickness of the limbs should be uniform and the length should be appropriate. Choice of fabric and sewing quality:
Plush toy fabrics are divided into pure wool and chemical fibers. Pure wool fabrics are expensive and easy to be eaten by insects, so they are rarely used. There is a simpler way to distinguish pure wool and chemical fiber fabrics: pull out a few fibers from the plush toy, and use a fire to observe the burning result. It is pure wool fabric; if it leaves a brown paste after burning, and it feels sticky when pinched with fingers, it is chemical fiber.
When checking the quality of the fabric, the toy should be held in the hand, and the plush should be rubbed in the direction of the natural coverage of the plush. It should be restored to its original state. If the plush is touched and then combed, but it does not return to its original state, and it looks like a messy stripe, it means that the quality of the fabric used in this toy is not good enough.
Generally, the joints between the head and the body of the toy and the joints between the limbs and the body are sewn and should be carefully checked. The general standard is that the foot of the thread is uniform, there is no loose thread, and no exposed thread ends. In order to identify the sewing fastness, you can pinch any sewing part of the toy with your hands and pull it sharply for 3 times. There should be no thread breakage or rupture.
